They have clear sound and do a pretty good job canceling background noise

The volume is consistent, I can hear it above background noise, but it doesn't cancel noise entirely (which is a good thing to me), so don't expect to use these as noise-cancelling headphones

The BAD:> No background noise cancellation when making phone calls:I tested by calling out from my iPhone, and a friend of mine also tested making calls from his Android, and the people we called both reported the same problem - EXTREME background noise.

People on the other line say that the background noise is too loud

The bass is not overwhelming (and often muddled) as with some of the others, but provides it at a level that I find pleasing.

These produced sound that was at least as good as, and in some cases much better than, the more expensive options.
