connection is poor

I've used them very gently/sparingly and stored them carefully since I got them, but one earbud is now losing its connection

They would lose the connection with my phone (via bluetooth) about 2-4 times a week

The bluetooth signal is not very strong and lost connection if the phone was in my pocket.

They would frequently stutter and skip, or even lose their connection, if my phone or laptop got more than 3' from them, or if I put my phone in my back pocket.
