We used this while out on a boat so the volume did not get very loud and battery did not last more than a couple hours

It has great volume, it's easy to use, the fact that it's waterproof and dust proof is awesome for my husband to take on deployment

The sound gets about as loud as your phone allows which for me puts off a pretty good volume

There is a chance that if you use it near water, the water will get inside the speaker grill and decrease the audible volume and quality of your music, but that's just a side effect of physics, and can be remedied by flipping the speaker upside down and dumping the water out.

I like that you can turn the volume up and down and skip through your playlist from the device instead of having to use your phone.
