It doesn't leak, and I've seen no rust issues after around a month of use

I'm not sure I would pay full price for this product until there is clear communication from Bonavita about the rust issue

It looks to me like they have redesigned the kettle and finally fixed the rust issue

I wouldn't buy or recommend until this (and the rust issue) are resolved.

Although I liked how quick, easy and quiet it boiled water, the rust issue has prompted me to dispose of this kettle and buy a new one to use on my oven.

As you know from my original review, the two kettles I purchased (one for home, one for the office) had significant rust issues after just a couple of months, but a wonderful Bonavita customer representative addressed the issue and got me two new kettles

I thought the rusting issue was addressed after Tamie-Bonavita said in November of 2013 that is was resolved on the manufacturing end

Great electric kettle, with minimal rust issue on the inside bottom, but after 2 years of great use, it just stopped heating water

I did not have a rust issue with either of the kettles as in other reviews

I use only filtered water and have not had any rust issues.

I'll probably email support to try and get a replacement one soon I guess; I was hoping that they would have fixed the rusting issue by now, changed steel supplier or something :\Update

It does not have the rust issues that my earlier pot had, so total satisfaction!!

Although it still boils my water, the main reason I bought it was because of the digital temp gauge and the reviews helped influence my decision as well which is why i'm trying to be as honest and useful as I canI suggest buying a more durable, better quality kettle from a brand that has a great reputation even if it may cost a bit more.
