The lid on the kettle is easy enough to remove and stays secure when pouring.*The narrow, curved up spout provides safety against a potential spill (actually seems to provide some counter balance) and is the best thing for having complete control over where the water goes and not a huge amount comes out at a time

Only thing I don't like is that it doesn't default to holding the temperature.

The insides are a printed circuit board, so there's nothing you can do in there, but a little jolt seems to revive things.

Three things on the manufacturer's end:1) if you tilt a bit too far the spout will leak slightly where it is connected to the body of the kettle2

The best thing I like is that you can hold it at your desired temperature for a half an hour.

It does all like advertised, but if you make it hold the temperature (I love this function, since I put it on and sometimes get distracted doing other things) for just another minute or two or boil 2 full pots back to back, the handle heats up quite a bit (to I point I have to grab a kitchen towel to pour the water)
