But, they still make nice clean holes, reasonably centered on the hinge holes.

Its nice to have the screw counter sink properly and not over hang the hole.

Three sizes cover most hinges - they work great for other things that require precise hole placement.

These are designed basically for cabinet hardware, so the hole that is drilled is not that deep, but it works perfectly for what I bought them for.

No problem, just drill the shallow hole and chuck up a long drill to finish the depth.
