DON'T pay retail unless you LIKE the idea of raiding your children's college fund to send the good Doctor Bose's grandchildren to Harvard!I give the Bose Companion 3 "4 stars" for its slick execution and better than average performance in a small 2.1 system
-
We're a little incredulous that BOSE, for all its famed style and sound quality, wouldn't have noted this deal-killing flaw
-
Although i liked the Bose for there sound docks for the kids
-
Its amazing how the Bose are like 5 times smaller(combining height, width and diameter) than the Klipsch, and still manage to sound way better than them
-
My old Altec Lansings produce a much better overall sound (especially midrange) than these overpriced Bose
-
speakers(the klipsch 2.1 were considered the best 2.1 setup, the bose kills them in spaciousness and
-
Even given the price difference (Bose Companion 3 system is still about double either the Logitech Z-2300 of HK SS II systems), the Bose is still worth the extra money to me.
-
I've owned the Klipsch Pro-Media set and a high end Altec-Lansing set, however this Bose is easily my favorite because it sounds great at the low volumes I usually listen at.
-
And the number of people using Bose is just small
-
Typical Bose clarity and almost too much treb
-
You can't get the Bose to distort NEVER
-
I liked the sound from the Klipsch nearly as much as the Bose, but the Klipsch speakers began to crackle after only a few
-
I know, with a huge 8" sub the Logitechs' bass should blow the Bose away.
-
The Logitech Z-2300 are capable of playing a bit louder, but unless you are a college kid just looking for loud boomy output, the Logitechs are clearly not as good overall as the Bose Companion 3 speakers
