The volume is very smooth, although the mute can be somewhat sensitive at times (it has a touch sensor like in some lamps, etc.)

The small speakers provide excellent volume even at modest levels and are not overly bright or midrange-heavy.

so be careful and remember to listen to music at a safe volume and only loudly for a short period and never let your ears ring

The volume control system is just great, with one touch you get on-off, and volume using the wheel around it, easy and convenient

The control pad is handy -- volume is easy to control and you can instantly mute the system with a touch on the pad.
