We live in an age of selfish people blaring their music through traditional "ear buds" or we have to deal with people (either in social conversation or via cell phone conversations) who act as though they are in their LIVING ROOMS (or as though everyone wants to really hear what they are saying).I simply pull these out of their case, find an upbeat (or layer music track), crank up the volume and VOILA - I am SAVED by the acoustic sound quality (and not tempted to say something to fellow riders that might end up in a verbal conflict).These headphones are GREAT!

You may be of the opinion that physical construction is of little importance if the audio quality remains high, in which case I would recommend these headphones

The noise cancelling is not as good as the other Bose headphone with noise cancelling and this model is more expensive just because it has the rechargable battery

Bought this item in March 2013.The headphones are quite compact and lightweight although the travel case is unnecessarily large (and lacks room for a spare battery)
