I wouldn't recommend the Beats as I have had many friends who had issues with those headphones as well, but I certainly would not recommend these Bose headphones either

The only reason I give four stars is because of the annoying connecting issues

No issues connecting to different phones, music was crisp and clear, and noise-cancellation was incredible

I upgraded firmware, a 25 min download, did not correct the issue.

Anyway, the issues are;- Almost impossible to connect to Windows 7.

My issue is the noxious odor from the over the ear material/hardware and the skin inflammation and rash that I've now developed around / on my ears.

The bad:- Minor connection issues at times

I have to return these for an exchange because Bose won't refund these, and I see that the power switch problem has been an issue for other customers, too

Bose has refused to acknowledge this issue despite hundreds of complaints on their forums alone and has dragged their feet

I decided it was then time to contact support to see if I could get a replacement seeing as this issue is a common defect I assumed they would offer a free replacement.

In all fairness, there are a LOT of very strong 5-star reviews for this device, and only two (that I found) that mentioned this issue, so it does appear to be a very isolated issue

While searching for a solution to my stuttering problem, I came across a thread on the bose forum regarding this noise cancelling issue

But there are several important issues with the product:1

Aside from that significant issue which won't be a problem for a while, I do love these headphones.

At the moment, I am leaning toward keeping the 35 for using at the office, long plane rides (over 2 hours), and even while sleeping in hotels (I can't tolerate daily earplug usage, because again, the skin irritation is an issue for me).

The only issue I've had once or twice was where the Bluetooth pairing stopped working for some reason

The only positive I can give these is that they are comfortable
