Subjectively judging the volume, I would say wax ear plugs work the best blocking almost 100% of the noise, Q Adapt block 100% of constant frequency noise (printers, heating/cooling) and 80% of voices and constant cursed elevator music, foam ear plugs 90% of everything, and Bose 95% of constant frequency noise and 60% of voices

The the noise cancelling lends to a very clear music playback and clear voice reception on phone calls, and I like the bass response of the headphones very much--adds alot of depth to music when compared to playback on other headphones or through speakers.

I am by no means an audiophile, but the music sounds great and the noise cancellation is even better

I wouldn't recommend wearing while driving, but if you are a commuter, they'd allow you to enjoy your music in pretty good solitude.

The range is flat but people must like that which is why these sell like hot cakes; however, if you are a music enthusiast, music that has something known as bass, then you may get a little disappointed

What I love about those is that you don't even need to play music to enjoy the noise-cancelling, you can just turn the noise cancelling on and have ear plugs beneath

I figured, noise cancelling headphones would help as I've learned that I can listen to non-lyrical music and maintain focus but the erratic noises listed before continued to pull me out of my work groove

And because of this noise cancelling, I actually get to hear all the detailed sounds (even little ones) of my favorite musics

It eliminates low rumbly sounds almost completely (car, fan, plane, etc) but higher noises (other music, voices) sneak through, though they are muffled.

Unfortunately, music cuts off/stutter in cellular mode, even with the iphone right next to the QC35.

Music plays awesome and works well with answering phone calls.
