I purchased this speaker and the Sony SRSX7, I found the Bose would fail totaly with rap music, was great at low volumes with other musics however when the volume got loud the Bass trims off largely and for the most part the speaker sounds like a typical small scale BT speaker

So, instead of being able to listen to music from amazon or youtube, or hearing a TV program through something other than substandard laptop speakers or cellphone speakers, I spend five to ten minutes pressing on/off switches and fiddling with bluetooth connections.

After now reviewing several other pricey bluetooth speakers since first receiving the SL3, I have to admit, I have kept coming back to SL3 as a comparison, and it still holds several advantages over the competition even with its 300 dollar price tag.

The Soundlink 3 is a very good quality speaker, well built, and in my mind, the price is fair enough, but I have to admit that the Mini is the one for me.

Lastly, one word of note: This speaker doesn't sound nearly as great outdoors, but that is true for all portable speakers.
