Oh well, still Bose quality...my mistake for not checking the fine print more closely.

The Bose may not impress bass addicts but for everyone else it does a good job with what it has

Before purchasing this item, I was already an owner of the Bose SoundLink Mini Speaker and was thinking of buying another portable Bose bluetooth speaker

While you should not mistake it for more expensive Bose speakers that produce superior sound, this little speaker sounds great and the Bluetooth is so incredibly helpful

As I said, I initially purchased this to play music in the kitchen, where the whoosh generated by the exhaust hood above the stove is so dominant that it overpowers the ceiling-mounted, hard-wired Bose speakers in the adjacent great room

I typically love Bose for their quality, this is the rare exception.

Even though it's the cheapest Bose speaker available and does have some great things going for it, I wouldn't characterize the sound quality as great.
