Time will tell but the thing is solid, a little heavy for it's size but in my experience, weight is quality.

Luckily every time this thing fell off my handlebars I was able to retrieve it before it was run over but the hook piece embedded in the silicone strap eventually failed

Anyway, overall this thing is amazing and, because you CAN adjust the sound directly from this (and pause and skip songs) and because the quality and volume is great, it gets all my stars

I've owned a UE Mini Boom, a UE Boom, UE Boom 2, and 2 UE Megabooms and they were all great speakers, but they all lacked one thing: portability

I had one of these just reorder another one because I lost my last one, it's amazing water proof and extremely durable.. this thing got run over by a dump truck and still worked perfect!!!

Only thing is older Bluetooth like my tablet don't support the app and cannot get the same volume as newer Bluetooth devices

I work unloading trucks/stocking in my spare time, I strap this on my utility belt, though the silicone strap could use some work in the way it fastens, this little thing is tough

Literally probably one of the best things that will be for our hike due to the fact that it is waterproof and super easy-to-use especially with the app that you have to download

One cool thing about these Bose speakers is using the Bose Connect app to connect to two speakers

The P2 and the Anker's I have above have a large treble boost which, superficially, may sound nice for a few minutes, but quickly becomes tiring when the speaker is within a few feet from you since things become bright and shrill easily.

At higher volumes (like louder than necessary) bose seems to limit bass to keep things clear.

However, you can adjust the auto-off time in specific increments and remove previously paired devices through the app, otherwise, most things within the app, like turning voice prompts off or shutting the auto-off timer entirely, can be done with button presses on the speaker
