A week later I bought another one, these things are awesome
-
I marvel at how amazing the little thing is.
-
I try doing what the directions seem to be saying, but things are just not working
-
Strong Wifi and all updates done... this damned thing is a boat-anchor... :(
-
This can be a good thing if you were looking for a nice speaker that would blend in with everything else in the room and not really stand out
-
That said, the nice thing is that the Bose SoundTouch will pick up right where you left off, even in the middle of a song, so there's no restarting of the
-
to turn the damn thing on it has to stop and think for 20 seconds
-
The only GOOD thing about my purchase is that I intended to buy all the SoundTouch speakers and put them all over the house, since they could be paired together
-
Ack Bose, I have this continuous love/hate thing with you!
-
I love this thing
-
This is a single speaker system, not stereo, and that, to me, is a good thing
-
I finally decided to give it a try because I wanted something small for behind my bed and this thing is awesome.
-
Will update review if things go well.
-
This thing works and works well.
-
What a pain this thing is.
-
This little thing sounds just great, perfect for my home office.
-
This thing works and works well.
-
Ack Bose, I have this continuous love/hate thing with you!
-
That is the cool thing about WiFi.....you just pick it up and MOVE it.
-
Ok, with the bad things out of the way, I wanted to point out why I still love this device
-
Love this thing
-
You'll also need a phone or other computer (again, on the same network) to get the thing set-up, and to control non-supported music services like iTunes/iMusic over Bluetooth (no AirPlay support).Overall, this is a very cool thing, that works well with minimal hassle
-
The biggest thing that the SoundTouch series has going for it when comparing it to SONOS is that this also supports normal bluetooth pairing!WHAT'S IN THE BOX
-
However if I instead use a 3rd party DLNA controller (Mediahouse Android app) and just treat the SoundTouch as a DLNA receiver, things work a lot better - except for the random dropouts when one speaker spontaneously decides to stop playing.
-
But I suppose some things are just a bit more tricky
-
I want to get the bad things out of the way, because it really is a good speaker, and what I hope is the future sound systems
-
The software and the fact that you have to use Sonos' app is the craziest thing every
-
WHY the heck can't this thing just be plug-n-play?
-
The only positive I have is that it looks nice in white.
