Install was clean and easy, unit looks great and functions well
-
It's an inexpensive double din head unit
-
However, if this unit quits working shortly after the warranty
-
First make sure the unit is compatible with your vehicle before buying
-
If you're looking for an affordable head unit that offers good quality for the price and is easy to install, this is definitely a top contender
-
Very nice and attractive basic unit
-
I don't think you will find a better unit for this price.
-
The variable colors are nice to have, a brighter color in the day and a more subdued one at night keep the unit easy to view in all conditions.
-
I'll just stay away from BOSS Audio and stick with lower end JVC or Kenwood if I want a inexpensive unit.
-
My technician says the unit has a factory fault.
-
I agree with the previous review ("Nice bargain unit")
-
I wasn't quite sure about this when it showed up but it's proven to be a really good entry level head unit
-
The sound quality is OK, but surprisingly good from a cheap unit
-
I also like that thieves will probably pass on my "cheap" little unit
-
The Ranger's stock radio is not a true double din, they are wider and shorter so you will also need a mount to secure the unit.
-
Of course, only time will tell if this unit is a bargain or not, but you can be sure that if I do have an issue with this unit in the next few years, I will update this review and let you know about it
-
It is a really affordable head unit at around $50
-
For a cheap, no frills unit, this is a an ok choice
-
It has settings to illuminate the unit in several different colors, but no setting to turn off the lights completely, so you're stuck with what to me seems like a tacky, neon look, with a volume indicator that flashes constantly, for no reason I can figure out
-
With that being said, this is a great head unit for the price
-
In short, it does the job, but it's a cheap unit and looks and feels and works like it.
-
No CD player, which kind of stinks as sometimes I just like the old-fashioned hard copy instead of relying on digital.
-
n’t think I could recommend this radio for that reason only.
