BOSS Audio 820BRGB Car Stereo - Double Din, Bluetooth, (No CD/DVD) MP3/USB AM/FM Radio, Multi Color Illumination

    • Install was clean and easy, unit looks great and functions well
    • It's an inexpensive double din head unit
    • However, if this unit quits working shortly after the warranty
    • First make sure the unit is compatible with your vehicle before buying
    • If you're looking for an affordable head unit that offers good quality for the price and is easy to install, this is definitely a top contender
    • Very nice and attractive basic unit
    • I don't think you will find a better unit for this price.
    • The variable colors are nice to have, a brighter color in the day and a more subdued one at night keep the unit easy to view in all conditions.
    • I'll just stay away from BOSS Audio and stick with lower end JVC or Kenwood if I want a inexpensive unit.
    • My technician says the unit has a factory fault.
    • I agree with the previous review ("Nice bargain unit")
    • I wasn't quite sure about this when it showed up but it's proven to be a really good entry level head unit
    • The sound quality is OK, but surprisingly good from a cheap unit
    • I also like that thieves will probably pass on my "cheap" little unit
    • The Ranger's stock radio is not a true double din, they are wider and shorter so you will also need a mount to secure the unit.
    • Of course, only time will tell if this unit is a bargain or not, but you can be sure that if I do have an issue with this unit in the next few years, I will update this review and let you know about it
    • It is a really affordable head unit at around $50
    • For a cheap, no frills unit, this is a an ok choice
    • It has settings to illuminate the unit in several different colors, but no setting to turn off the lights completely, so you're stuck with what to me seems like a tacky, neon look, with a volume indicator that flashes constantly, for no reason I can figure out
    • With that being said, this is a great head unit for the price
    • In short, it does the job, but it's a cheap unit and looks and feels and works like it.
    • No CD player, which kind of stinks as sometimes I just like the old-fashioned hard copy instead of relying on digital.
    • n’t think I could recommend this radio for that reason only.
