Boss DR3 Electronic Drum Controller Black

    • This is a great, simple drum machine for the one man band kind of people out there that really want some drums to jam with
    • The included manual is very abrupt in its explanations; Boss sells a set of DVD tutorials for $35, but who wants to pay for instructions that should have come with the unit?I give it 4 stars because of the good drum sounds and the number of functions it can perform, but I'm being generous - the presets are just about useless as they are (too much over-playing), and the bass sound in all the pre-sets is a corny synthesized 'slap bass' sound (think of the 'Seinfeld'
    • The drums and bass sound good through an amp or PA system
    • I've step programmed 2 zoom drum machines, (1 the excellent rt223) the outstanding Alesis sr-16, and finally a very good Casio drum machine on a WK7600 workstation

    • 2 excellent zooms, the great Alesis SR-16, and finally an outstanding drum machine in a Casion WK7600 keyboard workstation
    • Prior to purchasing the DR3, I had experience step programming 4 excellent drum machines.
    • this complicated, multi-purpose, complex drum machine can't do this.
