    BOSS DS-1 Distortion Pedal

    • The sound it puts out is very balanced: you can get a subtle overdrive-like sound out of it, or a high-gain hard rock/80's metal sound out of it.
    • hard rock(distortion from half-way to all the way up depending on the song)
    • I play a lot of heavy metal, (Metallica, MegadetH, Slayer, trivium, bullet for my valentine, etc) and also 80's heavy metal and classic rock, (poison, skid row, whitesnake, quiet riot, def leopard, etc) and this Pedal, with a little understand about sound and compression, makes everything sound massive
    • but I soon found the sound was off considering I like more blue and classic rock.
    • If you love 80`s hard rock or hair metal turn up the distortion anywhere from 3 quarters of the way up to max and you will love this pedal
    • By backing off the output ("volume" knob) from the guitar, you can get some good rock tones, at a variety of distortion levels.
    • Classic distortion,great for blues,grunge,classic rock,punk even
    • My amp gives me a nice warm crunch, classic rock style
    • Most famous rock guitarists use this pedal
    • If you love classic rock from the 70`s turn the distortion to half-way and you will love this pedal

    • The thing is built as strong as the rocks at Stonehenge and will withstand any Big Bottoms falling on it at a show
    • Used heavily in the 70's for classic rock tones, also in the 90's and beyond for tons of grunge and garage.
    • The DS-1 gives me almost everything I was looking for for the music I play (Heavy Metal and some Classic Rock)
    • Buy this product if you love rock.
    • Even If you love 90`s alternative rock turn up the distortion all the way and you will love this pedal and guitarists are still using it in 2014
    • It can give a great Classic Rock & Rock n' Roll tone, or even a heavier, Pantera-like tone
    • Great pedal if you're looking for that punk-meets-noise/college rock kinda sound from the 90's
    • They build rock solid pedals, and versatile sounds.
    • Even If you love 90`s alternative rock turn up the distortion all the way and you will love this pedal and guitarists are still using it in 2014
    • I definitely recommend it for anyone that likes that hard rock/metal sound.
