Outdoor mode makes it louder but loses some bass and quality
-
The BRV-X does have strong bass, it sounds really amazing
-
While about 3 or so times the size of the original jambox, it has much better sound (bass is very full and not tinny), and outdoor mode reduces sound quality a bit for a noticeably increased volume
-
I haven't gotten to test its battery life yet, but sound quality is great and has surprisingly good bass within 10 feet or so of the speaker.
-
Good enough bass for a box that fits inside a football
-
I like the Logitech UE Boom which is also supposed to be water resistant, but I read a lot of reviews that it did not have strong enough bass response, so I didn't consider the UE Boom
-
The bass is great when its on indoor mode
-
While I am not an audiophile by any means, I am particular about the quality of my music, and I do like a good bass presence as well as midrange and treble
-
it lacked the bass I wanted.
-
Same issue with the JBL Charge - and there are bass distortion issues with the Charge, even at lower volumes
-
The other improvement I noticed they made is that this speaker doesn't move around a lot like the Braven BRV-1 did when the bass was so powerful because this speaker has a new rubber footing that sticks to a flat surface even when the bass is so strong
