The lowest setting is perfect fornight time reading: bright enough to see well, but not so bright that it becomes annoying to others in the room who may prefer less light while watching tv, etc.

It does get a little warm sitting under it after a while, which limits your reading time in warm weather

I do lots of knitting and reading and have been having a hard time seeing lately.

However every time I pick it up I always seem to twist it to make the stand tight that’s my only complain as to why it’s not getting 5 stars
