I bought new stainless steel countersunk washers and screws for the install.
-
Still need to pick up stainless screws and or adhesive before installing.
-
I used Liquid nail on the back side of the unit along with 4 hollow wall anchors and stainless steel screws.
-
The backsplash matches our range hood, the attached 4 screws are sufficient to secure it on the wall
-
Easy to install, 4 screw holes
-
Pre drill your holes for easier screw installation.
-
For the screws, I used #8 1-inch stainless steel metal screws (I wanted two potential ways to remove the screws out in future, ratchet or screwdriver)
-
but it was clear of the top screw due to the wall's slope
-
Top screws hide behind the microwave and the bottom screws hide behind the stove.
-
I left the protective coating on the panel, peeling back just enough at the corners to allow me to insert the stainless steel screws (which I had to buy separately).
-
I prefer stainless screws with finishing washers.
-
Would I buy a 3rd time if needed, absolutely; but while I love the 4 pre drilled hoes, for a couple of pennies more, they should add the screws and anchors like the cabinet hardware companies do
-
#8 screws are recommended but I used #6 stainless screws and washers to give me a little more leeway
