Based on previous reviews from other Mac users, I thought I would live to regret this purchase

Terrible purchase, terrible product.

But it blows through toner absurdly quickly requiring frequent expensive purchases of Brother Toner.

For years, I've purchased frustrating printers, from a variety of companies, that jammed, were slow, and cost a fortune to supply with ink

I must write off the $100 as a bad purchase decision and acquire another brand.

Make sure you like it, I doubt you will, but plan on returning this bad purchase!

because if they spent less time trying think for the user and lock the user out of any meaningful access to diagnos and repair problems, it would be among the best printers I've ever purchased ( and I've bought 100's of them )

Brother refused to honor my purchase date from Amazon as they show a manufactured date 7 months longer

, boy was i wrongto print wireless literally takes a minute for 2 for the signal to be read by the computer, i couldnt imagine how long it would take if you had to print a ton of pages.it FREEEZES a lot, almost every other day, and you literally have to unplug the unit for it to reset, as their is no hard switch on this device or a cable to unplug, the plug is built into this unit, so you need to unplug from the wallsocket which for me is a hassle because its located behind the desk an not easy to reach without moving things around

Works as I expected

Setup of this machine was flawless--it took me less than 10 minutes to set up and after downloading the associated apps on my Ipad and Android devices, I could print wirelessly from them as well as from my laptop.

After reading glowing reviews of Brother laser printers, I decided to purchase this unit to replace an aging HP LaserJet 1022 (which still works) as the family's "workhorse" printer

My only complaint is that the airdrop wifi print option is delay and doesn't print as fast as if you had it directly connected via USB.

Set it up via IP Address instead of the s**t software that Brother recommends
