They are getting 3 stars not because there is anything wrong with them, but because the E-z Ink Compatible Ink Cartridges have worked flawlessly and for WAY less money.

my E-z Ink Compatible Ink Cartridge didn't work in my Brother MFC-J870DW.
I find that my printer will not print if one of the cartridges is out of ink, so this bundle is a good deal.
That was nice but didn't help the print job I really needed to have that day and seems to be a printer defect as that clearly shouldn't have used up an entire cartridge in less than one hour.
It's still a bit of a sting having to pay this much for print cartridges given the relatively low cost of the printer, but compared to the alternatives, it's still the best deal around - especially when you buy them from Amazon.
It is the real deal and price competitive with local stores.

My first one, where I have been using Brother OEM cartridges exclusively, is now over 10 years old and I have not any problems with degrading print quality or the print head.

For just about every printer where I used inexpensive replacement ink cartridges, I had to eventually replace the print head or get a new printer.
