We bought this printer to replace an ancient MFC that still works, but is not handling color well.
-
The interface isn't the most intuitive; colors are pretty dull ... can't seem to get them more saturated and bright
-
Color is a bit "dull" but it doesn't matter for what I do.
-
Color is important too, but I don't need photo-quality images.
-
The colors (when using Brother OEM ink on the "Best" setting) are flawless with zero bleed through
-
The colors are vibrant and the black printing is dark
-
Good color.
-
The colors aren't perfect, but I think it performs pretty well considering that it's not intended to be a specialized photo printer

Nice printing, colors are bright
-
Now, in the last few days, the colors have stopped working
-
unfortunately I've never met a printer that has to be cleaned due to poor color/striping or rescued from paper jams more than this machine.
-
Not obvious in text or darker images -- lines only noticeable where the background has solid color
-
I was prepared to return this item but reconsidered, since 90% of my work is B&W, and acquiring a better 11x17 color scanner would actually cost almost 10x as much as this unit.
-
However, if you need good (and accurate) color and crisp black printing this is NOT for you.

Unfortunately, it is with color scanning that the J6935DW seriously falters
