The quality of scanning of my B&W ink illustrations exceeds that of my Epson Perfection V500 scanner

Since I have used it, I am very satisfied with it, and would highly recommend this printer/fax/copier/scanner to anyone who works in an office setting and uses printing more often than not.

I was prepared to return this item but reconsidered, since 90% of my work is B&W, and acquiring a better 11x17 color scanner would actually cost almost 10x as much as this unit.

It's that simple, they have neglected software development, specifically the scanner.

The scanner worked great and the image opened immediately in our editor as described by the control center

Also enjoy being able to print directly from smartphones (on the same LAN) and get output that looks as good as from a PC.
