The default settings waste the consumable label type like you wouldn't believe.

The labels are easily applied and just as easy to remove

If you, like most people labeling things, are labeling DIFFERENT items, this second option doesn't work for you at all

and you can preview the label before you print it and waste a label.

The way I lessen the cost of this is to buy generic labels not the more expensive brother brand labels.

I replaced dead batteries with a fresh set, printed a couple small labels, put it awry for two or three weeks, come back to print another label and it only prints half the label because it wanted to interrupt the printing to tell me the batteries are low (printed same label just fine right after the low battery warning)

Each label has a wide margin and wastes lots of tape, that also means that after printing you have to manually cut each label.

Excellent labels and user friendly!

Menu directions are frustrating, and saving a consistent economic label setting is difficult, unlike with older machines

Where you COULD make a label on your computer, it's a hassle, and you won't because ONE LABEL at a time isn't worth the effort

Constant label jam.

This proves what brother is doing with the wasted tape on printed even the smallest label is absolutely fraud by design

She loves them too!-I have washed the labeled items several times in the dishwasher and the labels are still like new.-There is a Fabric Iron On tape (Ref # TZFA3) which is compatible with this machine (I verified on the Brother's website) which I can't wait to try to label my daughter's clothes, before she starts losing them too
