PT-80 but I was willing to pay the extra money and add the additional bulk to get away from the unit that sucked up batteries after nearly every label

NiMH is last generation battery technology and while robust in terms of holding a charge, a NiMH battery will wear out sooner and may or may not have memory problems.

The battery weighs a bit, but they didn't cheap out and use NiCad, they made it a mercury-free Ni-MH.
