    BTECH PC03 FTDI Genuine USB Programming Cable for BTECH, BaoFeng, Kenwood, and AnyTone Radio

    • I can program the baofeng radio fine with the front panel, but the ability to set names or lock transmit is not possible through those means.with the CHIRP program (free, go download it) you can pull and push images and CSV of the frequencies and channels to the radio.
    • It's a little hard to get in all the way, but once that was done, it allowed me to program my radio easily using the free CHIRP software from my Mac.

    • if you feel adventurous open Chirp (icon is a db9 connector) and go to top tab "radio" and clik "download" then the tab will ask you to select the radio type once entered it remembers the settings, then plug the cable into the radio ALL the WAY (rubber case will often stop it the last 1/8" wont work) then turn the radio on and it will let you download the initial settings
