This is the RIGHT version of the cable to get.

I've heard there are problems with knock-off versions of this cable but this real one from BaoFeng Tech works great!

Unlike the less expensive version which I never could get to work.

I'm not sure if this is a problem with just Win7 64 or if other versions of windows are have similar problems, just my experience

This is much better than the cheaper versions requiring driver downloads, I used this cable on my laptop with windows 10 and my first gen netbook still running win XP

Happy with the cable had a cheaper version did not work, this one resolved the issue.

UV-B5s work fine with the cheap prolific cable, but the version 2, 27 menu, UV-B5s will not

I'd hold off on using Chirp with this cable for Baofeng UV-82HP until Chirp has a stable version.

As promised, no backrevving drivers to make it work, just download the latest version of Chirp, and it just works.

Don't waste your time on the other cheaper cables, get the expensive versions that work.

Knock off versions may have a different chip that may not work as well according to folks on YouTube

If you are running a new version of Windows this cable works.

Works fine, but unless written, there are cheaper versions with same chipsets

and I replied with a lengthy e-mail detailing step by step the question/answer dialog with the support dept

I bought another cheap-o cable before and that did not work at all
