They're a little bit smaller than I would have originally thought (the picture didn't give me a really clear idea of how big the were), but the hold is very good - I wouldn't use these to hold up much more than one piece of paper, but they're intended use is really decorative, for point on a map or what have you

They are a blast to just play with as magnets, but they also work very well holding things on your refrigerator or other metal surfaces
