I originally bought dark roast beans from our local roaster who ground them to the normal drip coffee size

so no time to get flavor from fresh ground beans leaves oil in the filter with the flavor my bad choice of coffee pots went back to old pot I had, bummer for bunn

They still splatter the ground coffee beans outside the filter into the brew funnel, but the Bunn filter is the best there is around at the moment

Now I ask the baristas to grind the beans very fine - this does help
