    • I read all of the reviews about a burned plastic smell, but we didn't experience that at all.
    • I have been a Bunn fan for many years, but was hesitant to buy another due to several negative reviews and comments about an electrical burning smell, the less inferior construction, more plastic, and being made in China now

    • The problem is that with the water in the tank being kept at a high temperature at all times, if you only rinse the pot quickly instead of washing it with soap and water EVERY time you use it, then the minuscule amount of coffee residue in the pot gets in the tank and causes the burnt plastic smell(actually burnt coffee).
