I read reviews for this before and people complained about the carafe

I have been a Bunn fan for many years, but was hesitant to buy another due to several negative reviews and comments about an electrical burning smell, the less inferior construction, more plastic, and being made in China now

After reading the smelly reviews and the time it took to get rid of the smell I moved it out into the garage (and it is cold in there) where there was plenty of air to circulate the smell in anticipation of the positive reviews that it goes away and the unit is great

Looks like most of the negative reviews are from people who're unhappy with the unusual way this coffee machine works: it uses a boiler tank

i swear it seems all the bad reviews were right and the good ones wrong

I assumed because of so many positive reviews that this wasn't really an issue and only a problem for the elite coffee drinkers

I so want to leave a better review based on Bunn's past (excellent) history & reputation

Purchased this unit less than a month ago not believing all the smelly reviews

Unlike some of the negative reviews mentioned, I DID NOT smell anything like electrical or plastic melting

I read a couple negative reviews on here before I purchased this, and wanted to share my experience

The N series (the product I'm reviewing) is not as susceptible to this issue since it can be pushed further back under the cupboard and the distance is shorter from the lower tank to the front of the top tank

I researched new coffee machines for more than a year and finally decided on the Bunn NHS based on all the great reviews it received.

I was a little put off by a number of negative reviews referring to a burnt smell once the unit was plugged in and working.

Some reviews have mentioned the burning plastic smell and others water leaking, We have had none of these problems, Just great coffee in the morning.

One review we saw said "not intuitive

I have read through a number of positive and negative reviews on Amazon and for the most part it appears that people either did not read the owner's manual on how to use the unit or had problems that could have been easily solved by contacting Bunn

We chose this one due to good reviews and past experience with the swivel lid brewing system.

I read many negative and half hearted reviews before I decided to purchase, I have purchased many coffee makers over the years as both my wife and I are huge coffee drinkers and this has truly been the best one ever, no regrets
