    • I did not smell any weird plastic type smell and everything is built very well
    • I read all of the reviews about a burned plastic smell, but we didn't experience that at all.
    • After the initial setup, done as per manual, I started smelling a very bad burning smell

    • Let me elaborate on what I mean by " I don't like it" , we love the concept quick hot coffee, but this unit smells funny all the time, like burning plastic and I have read others have reported this as well

    • love the new addition on lid that makes it pour into your cup instead of the counter top ..from the pic I thought the carafe was thermal black but is glass like my former models..no bad smell as some noted on the other reviews very satisfied

    • The problem is that with the water in the tank being kept at a high temperature at all times, if you only rinse the pot quickly instead of washing it with soap and water EVERY time you use it, then the minuscule amount of coffee residue in the pot gets in the tank and causes the burnt plastic smell(actually burnt coffee).
