The end is attached very well and doesn't show any signs of fatigue or cracking

The micro end is loose in the device and probably why you get a crackling sound and lose the picture from time to time.

The mini end did not work with Kindke Fire, nor my phone.

Works great, the only thing I don't like is the end that goes into the kindle doesn't seem very secure because part of the cable connector is still showing when plugged in

I've bought a couple other cables from an auction site and the micro end was so flimsy on each of them that they were only good for one use (came apart when I removed it from my Kindle)

The male ends of the cable can not support the weight of the cable and bend very easily, sometimes to breakage.
