Caline USA Digital Overdrive Guitar Effect Pedal with 4 Control Knobs (CP-18)

    • Setting them both a hair under max evens out the too sharp treble and too deep bass out of the signal, resulting in a really amazing sound, especially for a $30 pedal
    • ™ Green Screamer is the Best sounding OD I have and the Orange Burst comes to a fraction away from being equally as good for a fraction of the cost
    • Your tone retains the acoustic "snap" of a very clean tone and the eq response of your amp and guitar still dominate the sound
    • Like the BB Preamp the Orange Burst is a great sounding pedal
    • Pure Sky stacked in front of the Orange Burst sounds incredible
    • Nice and clear sound.
    • Excellent sound for a good price
    • With all the knobs maxed out, and a little pre/post augmentation(overdrive pedal for pre-boost,and eq pedal to post-shape the tone,i was able to achieve a decent modern metal sound...and through a little Peavey solid state combo amp
    • Good price and very good sound
    • Out of these, the TS7 & Wasabi are more 1st generation "lo-fi" sounding pedals (either with that annoying TS7 midrange hump that only sounds truly great on Strat neck pickup, or with a limited EQ that messes with the tone too much - Wasabi) and each are less dynamic than the Pure Sky
    • Regardless, I do like the sound of this pedal, and the knobs that I do understand does offer decent control
    • At full gain, it gives you a very crunchy, fuzzy overdriven tube sound
    • Great sound
    • If you want distortion, get a plexi, a fuzz, etc.-Don't really like how the CP-25 sounds after gain knob is 3/4 of the way or more - it DOES seem to have some tone loss/alteration by this point.
    • I put the Joyo Sweet Baby in front of it and the sound was just glorious.
    • Impressive sound and quality for the price
    • Great sound
    • If you're looking for more of a modern rock heavy overdriven sound, this pedal isn't really for that
    • Upon arrival I was impressed with the quality of the construction, When I tried it out I was blown away by the great sound!
    • The sound is good, but I had to turn the bass all the way down
    • Gives the amp a good breakup sound, I'm sure you could get something close to the old
    • It started off fantastic and I LOVED the sound it gave, but after only having the pedal for not even a full three weeks, it stopped working entirely
    • If you somehow don't care about loss of high end, this pedal offers halfway decent distortion, and honestly a nice sounding boost
    • but I stupidly sold them all off, and the currently-produced CTO-2 sounds nothing at all like the CTO-1).My CTO-1 basically never goes off when I'm plugged in and had to be replaced immediately
    • I love the sound of my
    • Its not as nice sounding as something like the Barber Gain Changer, which I used to own, but its sorta in the same tonal camp
    • Great sound
    • it's flexible enough with it's 6 parameters, but it's not particularly warm sounding and definitely not true bypass as it has trails after pedal is disengaged and the mix knob imparts significant noise to the signal even when pedal is disengaged.

    • On single-coil through P90 bridge pickup, it's great for slamming 3-6 note chords for a grainier "just breaking up" sound....not as good at single notes
    • very warm, mellow bluesy sound when the Bass is at 3 o'clock, Treble is at 12, and Gain is between 8-9!
    • think I’d be able to achieve such beautiful sounds without years/years/years more practice
    • Beautifully transparent as a clean boost.. or dial in some gain to push whatever follows it in your chain… sounds fantastic in front of an amp or in front of another dirt box

    • I run throught a Vox AC15C1 and feel I have not been able to find a distortion or OD pedal that gave a good second dirt sound at bedroom levels
    • Used like that it pushes other pedals splendidly, or gives a sweet, full body to your clean sound
    • In my honest opinion, this is one of the greatest sounding pedals I've played
    • With the gain dimed, I can clean up the sound completely just by turning down the volume on my guitar, and then switch to a lead tone by rolling it back up to full again
