The colors are rich and the sharpness throughout the range is superb (although some reviewers have said it may be a little soft at the 24 end, but I've been able to sharpen those up in post processing to an excellent result
-
Color is perfect on the 24-105L and the USM focusing is fantastic.
-
At the "normal" range of 50mm, my humble Canon 50mm f/1.4 has considerably better color and contrast, not to mention better low-light capability
-
Fast, very good color and is very sharp
-
It would have been nice though if Canon could have managed a f2.8-4 instead, but the lens takes excellent quality L shots, better quality and color than the 17-85IS
-
It's sharp, has great color, and feels very sturdy
-
Great build quality, nice color, and contrast
-
Great color.
-
The color of 24-105mm looks just weird at this focal length, and the image is not sharp (I want to say poor). If the score of 50mm is 100, then this lens is 50.Candidate #3: Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II
-
Exceptionally sharp, very good IS, nice color
-
Exceptionally sharp, very good IS, nice color
-
The key features of this lens that I love are:L series quality produces great colors, is sharp, comes with the Petal hood and
-
The colors are vibrant and the contrast is just right.
-
Silky smooth zooming and focusing, very sharp and detailed images with excellent color and saturation - the experience if using the 24-105 is entirely positive
-
f/2.8L.Images are razor sharp even at f4.0 and the colors and contrast are incredible
-
For a zoom lens, it delivers extraordinarily sharp pictures with excellent colors
-
I love the color
-
The images are sharp, with awesome colors
-
Color=vivid, clarity=sharp, good walk-around lens
-
The colors - amazing
-
Color is good, contrast good, sharpness is excellent, especially if you stop it down to 5.6.
-
It's very sharp and the colors are great.
-
The clarity is awsome and the colors are more vivid
-
Color: spectacular
-
As we all know prime lenses are the sharpest, but the color on the 24-105 is impeccable
-
Love the colors and no issues with chromatic aberration or distortion
-
I love the colors, the IS system really does give you 3 - 4 stops of stabilization in the real world, it's tough, it keeps the dust out, and it's more than sharp enough
-
It has become my "always on" lens, the colors are very pleasant, replacing my 17-85IS
-
The colors are rich and the contrast is excellent, creating a pleasing image
-
Beautiful results, great color and clarity
-
The short: The 24-105 turned out warmer, more beautiful photos in both indoor and outdoor usage, capturing vibrant, accurate colors.
-
The colors and contrast are excellent, and the wide angle option is nice when I need it
-
The warm colors really pop.
-
All of the explosions were crisp and the colors vivid! That same weekend we ate dinner in The Grove behind the CBS studios where I found this lens' f stop completely disappointing.
-
The IS works amazingly well, the pictures are almost always sharp with great color and contrast, and the bokeh is great for an f/4 lens
-
I like the clarity of this lens and the rich color
-
colors are vibrant, and light bleeding is controlled especially well
-
contrast with very good colors (for a zoom of this range). The real surprise was how good the Image Stabilization is.
-
If you want to buy canon lens, definitely go to L series lens which guarantee great image quality, especially this 24-105
-
(24-70L - look, I'm talking about taking the photo gear along with all that stuff small children need, or the mothers think they need ;) or were them not very versatile (the fifties) or the quality felt bellow the expectation (28-105 and the cheap kit lens). After shooting with this not so well regarded 24-105 L I must say it was exactly what I needed: delivers high IQ pictures with strong contrast and yes, it can blur the background enough for most cases - at least for portraits shot at 3 to 4 meters alway
-
I was pleased with this older lens and held off buying the more expensive 'L' cause I didn't think it could be that much of an improvement.
-
The 24-105 L IS seemed like a good replacement: it got good reviews, has more reach, AND it has IS
-
Almost bought the shorter, faster L series but glad I went with this one.
-
Why, I compared this to my only other Canon's Zoom lens --70-200mm F4 L, which is also the cheapest 'L' lens from Canon
-
L would be perfect for the 7D.
-
I looked for other options and this damn L lens just kept on popping in my mind
-
suite for everything, very sharp, very fast, great L series lenses. f4 at 105 looks stuning, the macro also is very decent.
-
Solid L Construction*
-
, 70-200 F4L IS + 1.4xII (all Canon)Apart from the Luxurious L mechanicals and feel, the IS and focus seems to be top notch
-
An awesome "L" series lens
-
the only down side of this lens is that i dont get to use any of my other fancy L lenses
-
I've seen many reviews heaping praise on the Canon 24-105 f/4 L, and I'll just add to it.
-
After I started using it I noticed a HUGE difference in the quality of photos after switching to this lense, and now I refuse to buy anything but these beautiful L series lenses
-
Outstanding L lens.
-
My EF-S 15-85mm lens delivers a similar FOV for APS-C, has better IQ, and it doesn't even carry the renowned "L" designation
-
This lens has been great and if you are in the market for a high quality lens in this Focal length, spend a little more and get the L series like this if you can
-
A compact L standard IS zoom that is an excellent walkabout lens
-
I am already eyeing 17-40 f/4 and even worse, 14mm L
-
The zoom range, from medium wide-angle to medium telephoto, certainly makes this one of Canon's most versatile "L" series lenses
-
I was a little bit surprised to find the first lens I really wanted to get back was not of the more expensive L lenses, but this one
-
It's one of the most versatile L lenses and is very useful for different situations
-
I go with fast non-L primes, 28F2.8, 50F1.4 and 85F1.8
