Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens for Canon EOS SLR Cameras

    • It is a very nice walk around lense
    • A great walk-around lens if I didn't have the direct comparison to the 24-105L, but only worthwhile if the price difference (or few ounces weight-difference) is make-or-break.
    • Images weren't impressionably sharp below f8.The lens is a tank that adds significant weight to the SLR, which detracts a bit from it's appeal as a walk-around lens.
    • Sharp walk around lens!
    • After doing much research on various websites and message forums, I've come to the conclusion that the 24-105 L is the perfect walk around by Canon
    • This is the best walk around lens made by Canon, hands down
    • Good walk around lens.
    • My favorite walk about lens by far
    • I paired this lens up with a 40D. As soon as I decided to go the SLR route, I decided to put the money into a good "walk-about" lens
    • This is a very good walk around lens
    • This will be the perfect "walk-around" lens for me.
    • Fantastic "walk around" L lens, although the 24-70mm F/2.8L II is better, but price-wise; if you're not shooting that much indoors or in low light; this lens should suffice for hobbyist and amateurs alike
    • The Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM is an excellent walk-around lens and has become my favorite lens
    • This is the perfect walk around lens
    • This lens is a very nice walk-around lens that can be used to traveling or just for everyday pictures.
    • A great "walking around" lens.
    • This is probably the best walk around lens ever
    • Great walk around lens.
    • If you need a great walk around lens, this is the one.
    • Great walk around lens, great general fit and range
    • People where right to call this the perfect walk around lense that canon has to offer; I recommend this to anyone it has.
    • : LOVE THE T2I (quality+features+price) and this AWESOME walk-around and amazing 24-105!!
    • Great all around walk about lens
    • Excellent walk around lens
    • Like other reviewers have said, this is a great "walk-around" lens
    • Color=vivid, clarity=sharp, good walk-around lens
    • I've tried 5 lenses at different speeds (sigmas, tamron, canons) and wanted a good walk-around lense
    • It is definitely as others have said "a great walk around lens"
    • It pretty much stays on my camera and makes a great walk-a-round or travel lens.
    • It is fairly heavy but still works well as a walk around.
    • This is a great walk-around lens
    • Very solid walking around lens, I prefer prime lens for real work but as far as this lens go it is very flexible, clean, and solid you can't go wrong with this lens
    • Recommend as everyday walk around lens for day time shooting.
    • Great walk around match up with a 7D or one of the other heavierCanon cameras.
    • This is my favorite walk-around lens.
    • solid walking around lens. got a refurbed version.
    • Great walk around lens
    • So i looking for an excelent walk around lens, look no futher - but be prepared to spend thousands for your next
    • It is a great walk-around lens, probably more suitable for full-frame verses the cropped body variety as the latter push this thing into the 38-168mm range.
    • It's the best walk around day light lens on 5D for me.
    • But if I'm walking around town or on vacation or hiking then the 24-105 is much better due to its slightly smaller weight and its greater range
    • I shoot a lot of images where I want the out of focus areas (bokeh) to be glassy smooth and creamy (for weddings, macros, portraits and such) and you cannot get that with this lens as good as you can with the 24-70 f2.8
    • I do own the 135 f/2L, as well as the 85mm f/1.8 and the 50mm f/1.4 - but the versatility of the zoom range here makes this one my usual go-to lens.
    • The blur it produces may not be as sweet as that produced by some of the other lenses, but we're talking about f/4 as wide open here.
    • ALso check out fredmiranda.com as well as [...
    • If you want to buy canon lens, definitely go to L series lens which guarantee great image quality, especially this 24-105
    • (24-70L - look, I'm talking about taking the photo gear along with all that stuff small children need, or the mothers think they need ;) or were them not very versatile (the fifties) or the quality felt bellow the expectation (28-105 and the cheap kit lens). After shooting with this not so well regarded 24-105 L I must say it was exactly what I needed: delivers high IQ pictures with strong contrast and yes, it can blur the background enough for most cases - at least for portraits shot at 3 to 4 meters alway
    • I was pleased with this older lens and held off buying the more expensive 'L' cause I didn't think it could be that much of an improvement.
    • The 24-105 L IS seemed like a good replacement: it got good reviews, has more reach, AND it has IS
    • Almost bought the shorter, faster L series but glad I went with this one.
    • Why, I compared this to my only other Canon's Zoom lens --70-200mm F4 L, which is also the cheapest 'L' lens from Canon
    • L would be perfect for the 7D.
    • I looked for other options and this damn L lens just kept on popping in my mind
    • suite for everything, very sharp, very fast, great L series lenses. f4 at 105 looks stuning, the macro also is very decent.
    • Solid L Construction*
    • , 70-200 F4L IS + 1.4xII (all Canon)Apart from the Luxurious L mechanicals and feel, the IS and focus seems to be top notch
    • An awesome "L" series lens
    • the only down side of this lens is that i dont get to use any of my other fancy L lenses
    • I've seen many reviews heaping praise on the Canon 24-105 f/4 L, and I'll just add to it.
    • After I started using it I noticed a HUGE difference in the quality of photos after switching to this lense, and now I refuse to buy anything but these beautiful L series lenses
    • Outstanding L lens.
    • My EF-S 15-85mm lens delivers a similar FOV for APS-C, has better IQ, and it doesn't even carry the renowned "L" designation
    • This lens has been great and if you are in the market for a high quality lens in this Focal length, spend a little more and get the L series like this if you can
    • A compact L standard IS zoom that is an excellent walkabout lens
    • I am already eyeing 17-40 f/4 and even worse, 14mm L
    • The zoom range, from medium wide-angle to medium telephoto, certainly makes this one of Canon's most versatile "L" series lenses
    • I was a little bit surprised to find the first lens I really wanted to get back was not of the more expensive L lenses, but this one
    • It's one of the most versatile L lenses and is very useful for different situations
    • I go with fast non-L primes, 28F2.8, 50F1.4 and 85F1.8
