Canon EF 24-70mm f/4.0L IS USM Standard Zoom Lens

    • The photos were very good, but I couldn't call them great.
    • For me, shooting family photo's and candids this is a great very responsive lens with amazing photo quality, build quality and great color representation.
    • Whatever your model of Canon camera, you'll get superior photos with it
    • I have since received the lens from a reputable dealer (B&H Photo) and the lens works as advertised.
    • I do have the 50mm 1.8 prime that is easy to carry and gives surprisingly great sharp photos with both my 6D and 60D Canons
    • My old G5 shot sharper photos
    • Also, from 50-70mm, you can also produce excellent and truly portrait photos
    • I can still shoot clear photos by hand at 1/30s
    • This is a must-have lens for those who appreciate great quality photos and the fixed f2.8.
    • It takes crisp, rich photos, has a large apperature that makes for impressive low-light photography, and includes USM technology for lightening-fast focusing.
    • The photos look nice, but not sharp
    • Or select all the photos in a directory and you can correct all your photos at once.
    • Because of that, good photography skiills will be important in order to obtain the great photos this lens is capable of producing
    • IS works (don't expect it to get you tack sharp photos when shooting 2-3 stops below 1/focal length rule; you'll get useable pictures, but not tack sharp).Cons
    • If the lens makes bad photos of a brick wall, or black and white flat pattern, it's going to make bad photos of a building,
    • by saying this---- you get much more decent photos at f/44
    • The photos look nice, but not sharp
    • I look like I am taking photos for N. Geographic
    • It's extremely well made and offers extremely sharp photos, especially for a zoom lens
    • After reviewing the photos (589) from the three days, most were very good family photos and it appears that I'm going to be very pleased with the 5DMKII and the 24-70mm L glass
    • Now I am taking incredible photos that are tack sharp, containing great color and tonal range and could not be happier with my choice of lenses
    • Low light motion situations are the only place where the extra f-stop of the f/2.8 would be an advantage, but your photos will still be soft.
    • Take great photos.
    • Do NOT trust Calument Photo.
    • -- I made not a single sharp photo
    • It lives on my Canon 400D. Tack sharp photos
    • I know that a good lense doesn't make a good photo
    • The photos I take with this lens are sharp with beautiful colors
    • I already have the 70mm - 300mm 1:4-5.6 L lens and BOTH lenses gave me super photos... clarity, sharpness, great action shots, and the DOF is fantastic!
    • it can do them all with ease, and the photos look great
    • f/2.8 L series lens, producing excellent quality photos that are very sharp.
    • This lens may just be the best lens that Canon has made in terms of the quality of construction, the glass that was used, and great photos this lens captures
    • My recommendation is to spend the money even if you are a simple photo hobbiest like me
    • The 18-200MM is an okay lens, but you are compromising great quality photos for convenience.
    • I made a decision to spend the extra money for better photos, so now I just have to learn enough to make the investment pay off
    • The lens was in perfect condition and has given me hundreds of great sharp photos.
    • It produces clean crisp photos and is an excellent buy.
