    • This is where the IS helps to stabilize the image so that the shots stay sharp
    • I already had the 2.8 non-IS, and it was a RAZOR with my 5D Mark II, superb image quality
    • On the 5D MKII and 50D the images are sharper than the original 70-200mm, and I can use a lower ISO in most cases
    • I'm about to take some great images, as long as I shot between 1/200th and 1/250th of a second of course
    • just beautiful images
    • I've yet to master it, but in spite of me it takes wonderful images
    • Image Stabilizer is very powerful which eased my shaking with 1/30 sec shutter speed
    • The images I shoot with the MKII 2.8 70-200 are mostly indistinguishable from that lens.
    • The lens is already fast enough at f/2.8 to freeze motion with a fast shutter in most shooting situations; the addition of 4 stops of IS makes this lens utterly reliable for nailing perfect, shake-free images, every single time
    • the images are so outstanding excelling in color, background blur, low light that I hardly notice the weight
    • The lens is sharp and continues to impress, producing wonderful images
    • Extremely sharp and crisp images, fast-steady-silent auto-focus and great in low light situation
    • Extremely sharp and crisp images, fast-steady-silent auto-focus and great in low light situation
    • Tack-sharp images with great color saturation and beautiful bokeh at every focal length.
    • I consistently get sharp images at 1/10s with stationary objects or people posing!!
    • Sometimes I'd get lucky and get a sharp non-blurry image at 1/50s
    • It was as sharp or sharper, more contrasty and offered greater detail and a sweeter image
    • Sharp images of the action against soft backgrounds gave me near 3D prints
    • But, I started to notice that while my f4 was sharp even with dim lighting inside, it was difficult to get sharp images of fast (or semi-fast) moving objects (e.g. children, sports, children playing sports, etc).
    • Wide open the corners degrade a little at 70mm otherwise this optic renders consistently sharp and well-defined images on a 35mm frame at all focal lengths and apertures, an impressive performance.
    • I put the camera (5dmiii) on auto iso and kept the shutter speed at around 1/160 and at 200mm the images were sharp.
    • But to use it with the EOS I have to manually focus, which can lead to errors and soft images.
    • The images are razor sharp, you will cut yourself looking at your photos
    • Exceptional image qualityHighly effective image stabilizationExcellent autofocus and manual overrideVery accurate focusing ,very fast ,excellent color and contrast.

    • The lens is already fast enough at f/2.8 to freeze motion with a fast shutter in most shooting situations; the addition of 4 stops of IS makes this lens utterly reliable for nailing perfect, shake-free images, every single time
    • I can hand hold this lens at 1/25, 200mm, f2.8 and get tack sharp images.
    • A few additional stops can be the difference between getting that one shot or getting a blurred image
    • The images are very sharp, color saturation is excellent, and the auto focus is dead on.
    • Cant ask for a better Lens.. sharp, crisp quality images all the time
    • The images are very clear, the colors are rendered accurately and it shows no chromatic aberrations
    • The F/2.8 aperture represents one of the widest lens openings in the marketplace currently, which can help your camera sensor by allowing more light into the lens for cleaner images
    • The images have been crisp/clear with great color
    • Paired with my 7D and no micro-adjustment needed I have unbelievable tack sharp images and much faster focusing
    • It does get a bit heavy after a hour or so of shooting handheld, but the images are so damn good that I can't complain all that much
    • This lens/camera combination produces incredible clarity and allows me to capture fast action producing tack sharp images
    • For me it produces its most crisp images at f/11 and the detail even at 100% crop is simply astounding
    • Regardless of aperture setting, It's possible to consistently obtain very clean to razor sharp images upon figuring out the best place to stand in relation to the subject being composed for your photo
    • I took pictures of my daughter walking after a performance in her school auditorium and it produced sharp images without blurs under 6400 ISO.
    • I get clear images at 1/10 second using the 200mm very easily
    • Of course, chances of blurry image depends on stability on one's hand and I noticed that with my hands, 1/10s is the slowest I am comfortable with with low chances of getting blurry pictures due to camera shake
    • Excellent focusing, clean crisp images.
    • Image Stabilization: Very good.
    • Mate this bad boy onto my 5D Mark III and take some sample shots and the images is very sharp.
    • Fantastic images on my 7d, not bad for wildlife with the extra zoom on a crop sensor.
    • AF is extremely fast and quiet -- images are razor sharp across the entire range
    • It took a nice image and was light weight, but I do not carry a tripod and soon sold it to help fund the 70-200mm f/4 L IS
    • I typically do not feel that I need to use a flash with this combination as I've had great success in obtaining sharp images
    • Fantastic images on my 7d, not bad for wildlife with the extra zoom on a crop sensor.
    • The IS works silently and produces very smooth images while the lens is hand held.
    • But if you're a professional or an amateur photographer (as myself) that simply want the best image possible with a wide aperture and great image stabilization, you will know after you take your first picture that every dime you spent on this lens was worth it!
    • I love that I can leave it wide open at 2.8 and not have to stop it down to get a sharper image.
    • The images are tack sharp, the auto focus is phenomenal, and it is great in low light.
    • Stepping up a few stops the images are sharper with less DoF but still lovely.
    • Great quality images come out of it each time.
    • It takes a bit to get used to the weight, but once you get the hang of it you can produce the most beautiful images!
    • It performs very good in low light condition and produces crisp images at slow shutter speed even at 1/10 sec with handheld
    • my 24-70mm and 100mm macro both produce pretty spectacular images
    • The IS truly is greatly improved over version I, it really does give a 4-stop advantage
    • The bokeh is OK but a little busy and not as smooth as with the legendary 135
    • at -5, there was a noticeable loss of detail; +0 to +5 are indistinguishable and as sharp as it gets.
    • The feel of the focus and zoom rings are about as "perfect" as it can get.
    • I'm mostly a portrait photographer (seniors and weddings) and it's great in the studio as well as in churches and other low-light areas.
    • Briefly, the newer features over the Mark 1 are: new fluorite elements - increased optical quality and reduced CA and less flare (as to whether that is that good or bad is subjective)
    • I agonized over the upgrade for as long as it took to save the money.
    • It is without a doubt as sharp as my f4 IS ever was.
    • It's as good as or better than my 16-35 on that point because the IS is so good.
