I agree the price is a bit steep, costing me more than my 5D MarkII body, but as they say, you get what you pay for
-
etc.)NEUTRAL- Price is as expected, expensive but worth
-
Second, the current increase retail price of 33% is steep.
-
If you are unsure about this lens and no one would blame you given its hefty price tag - rent it, determine if the range of focal lengths, aperture width, sharpness, image-stabilization capabilities, weight, and of course price are all something you can live with.
-
The price is definitely steep, but you get what you pay for and you probably will never have to replace it or upgrade it
-
Price $$$$$, a bit big, a little heavy- not too bad
-
I purchased the 5D Mark II already and this was obviously a no brainer, but... the price was an issue
-
The built quality is unbelievable good and the price is insanely expensive.
-
That being said, from what I can tell, it also tends to put another nail in the coffin of canon being thought of as a "price competitive" brand.
-
This lens was released with a RRP in the USA of US$2500, in the UK at £2200, and I bought mine in Australia for $AU2700 the week it was released; prices have fallen since
-
Hefty price tag, but nice pictures that you can take with this lens.
-
The only downside I have found to this lens is the price and it was a bit heavy for carrying 3 days through the Peruvian mountains
-
Even a the price of this lens you will not be sorry....
-
Amazon has the best price, no tax in most states, and a liberal exchange policy that covers shipping both ways
-
I wish there were some people taking my advice and bought this lens at the cheaper price:)To the people that are still wavering about whether to buy this lens because it is too expensive, my advice is to go ahead and buy it
-
1, which is still selling at a very good price.
-
If you can justify it, get the best you can afford, if not the Mark 1 is still outstanding and can be had for a good price on the forums
-
I originally bought this lens from another photographer, used, at a great price.
-
While not having the reach of a 200mm, the reduced weight and size are definitely appealing and the price is attractive as well, sitting right around a $1000 right now.
-
The IS truly is greatly improved over version I, it really does give a 4-stop advantage
