Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon SLR Cameras

    • No lens will make you a pro photographer by itself, as with any tool, you must learn how to use it and how to properly do the job you are attempting to do-- with that being said, this lens has gone a long way in improving the quality of my images, I love it's ability to produce a great bokeh and focus on the subject with great results
    • The only drawback is how heavy the lens is but I guess that's the trade-off between a lighter lens and one that will give you incredible quality.
    • The focal length works very well for portrait work and allows you to work from quite a distance from your subject, which is nice for people that are not used to being in front of the camera, as they don't feel like you're right in their face!Pros: Great quality, tack sharp, shallow DOF, and nice bokeh.
    • Bug it's worth the weight - the quality, the ease of use, the speed, the versatility are unsurpassed.
    • The sharpness and picture quality from this lens is the best I have been able to get from any lens I have ever
    • It's sharp as razor, extremely good images quality, excellent range
    • It comes with a carrying case and a twist off lens hood made of great quality plastic and has velvet-like material inside the hood to minimize the chance of light bouncing off while using it

    • Not a professional photographer, just a Father who was tired of getting poor quality or missing pictures of his kids in low light or distant situations.
    • love the image quality, but is it something you’ll want to lug around everywhere?
    • The picture quality tops all Mark I version.
    • It's heavy, but the quality is amazing.
    • The build quality is excellent, the zoom ring is super smooth, the colors and flare resistance are both so good that you don't need to do much of anything in post production.
    • The built quality is unbelievable good and the price is insanely expensive.
    • Quality of pictures and narrowness of the depth of field is simply amazing
    • The quality is superb.
    • Beware it is significantly heavier than the f4 variants of the 70-200, but the construction and image quality is superb
    • Cant ask for a better Lens.. sharp, crisp quality images all the time
    • The quality of the photos are amazing, very much like you would expect from a prime lens.
    • Now I can not just shoot the things he can shoot, but completely blow away the image quality his
    • PROS:+Amazing construction and solid build quality.+Constant f/2.8 aperture.+Superb VERY SHARP
    • I thought it would degrade image quality after 1/200th, but this appears not to be the case for my copy.
    • Its big, its a little heavy, but the quality is amazing

    • As many others have said, quality of pictures is "impressive".2
    • With the great quality of this lens it would be shocking for it not to be this heavy.
    • The only potential downside is the very heavy weight, but you get used it and learn not to care because the quality is so great.

    • Image stabilization is fantastic, build quality top notch, and on and on
    • Great quality images come out of it each time.
    • ‘close at hand’ prime quality and the build quality is phenomenal.
    • The bokeh is OK but a little busy and not as smooth as with the legendary 135
    • at -5, there was a noticeable loss of detail; +0 to +5 are indistinguishable and as sharp as it gets.
    • The feel of the focus and zoom rings are about as "perfect" as it can get.
    • I'm mostly a portrait photographer (seniors and weddings) and it's great in the studio as well as in churches and other low-light areas.
    • Briefly, the newer features over the Mark 1 are: new fluorite elements - increased optical quality and reduced CA and less flare (as to whether that is that good or bad is subjective)
    • I agonized over the upgrade for as long as it took to save the money.
    • It is without a doubt as sharp as my f4 IS ever was.
    • It's as good as or better than my 16-35 on that point because the IS is so good.
    • I am not too happy with the 24-70 L it lacks sharpness and color if I am any
    • L look somewhat soft, even after being micro-adjusted.
    • Solid build and a great "L" lens
    • Durable L quality
    • I have used and owned numerous Canon lenses, and this is the best L lens, and arguably the finest
    • I am a hobbyist photographer, and I wanted to see what the "L-Lens" hype was all about
    • well maybe a nice L 50mm)
    • The IS truly is greatly improved over version I, it really does give a 4-stop advantage
