The type2 IS setting is great for panning shots

This is where the IS helps to stabilize the image so that the shots stay sharp

I also used to never shoot above 4000 ISO however, with version II, I see great shots at 6400 ISO with my 7D!

I bought the Canon f/2.8L 70-200mm because I was looking for sharper night shots.

I can now take SHARP handheld shots at .5 of a second

Even the bad shots look good.

The 70-200 L was always my prime go-to lens if I wanted absolutely crisp clean shots

One of the best lens I ever own and I was able to get excellent shots on my African Safari, some priceless.

I love my prime lenses but there are times when the added versatility would've yielded more successful shots

But, I used it recently for an engagement session and was able to get great shots, clear, colorful, outstanding!I also used it indoors recently and was standing next to 2-3 other photographers when I snapped a picture in a dimly lit room

I shoot a lot of "action" type pictures where lighting is always an issue and this lens has helped me get some great shots.

This lens is by far my sharpest lens as all shots come out super sharp and clear with amazing clarity and color and it continues to amaze me

This comes in handy when combining this lens with the 2.0x III Telephoto Extender - I can hand-hold at f/5.6 and still get great wildlife shots

This lens gives me the control, speed, and zoom that I need for precise, clean shots.

When I put the version II on the Kenko 1.4 tele-converter, I was able to zoom in to 280mm and pull off sharp shots at 1/5th of a freakin second handheld!!!!

After dealing with enough marred shots and other compromised shooting situations I decided it was time for an upgrade

I used to shoot with my 70d and this thing would get some amazing shots

and I was used to having 24mm on the near side, but the results are so worth it that I don't mind walking away to get the right shots

I have only used this lens for a brief period of time; however, in that short period of time I have taken some amazing shots

f2.8L and IS will allow you to still get great shots in low light.

It does seem to hesitate sometimes while focusing on dark shots but not at a rate which would alarm me.
