Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Full Frame Digital SLR Camera Body

    • The focusing is fast and accurate and it has less noise than my 5D3 did.
    • While for portraiture you have time to focus and recompose, event photography requires fast and accurate focus of moving subjects in dim environments and if you want to compose the shot well in camera you're going to have to use focus points that are not in the center all the time
    • An worthy upgrade from the Canon 5D Mark III, in terms of much faster focus speed, improved dynamic range and better low light sensitivity
    • very fast and accurate focusing system not to mention the sharp images
    • The focusing is much improved over the MK III which was my main motivation for getting this
    • The focusing is much improved!
    • Convenient new focus mode switching button.-LCD screen is very nice, the touch screen is surprisingly useful-Touch to focus in live view, dual pixel AF tracking is absolutely revolutionary, I've never seen anything else like it
    • 1.7x with Dual Pixel AF focusing ends up being MUCH better than a camera that has 1.5x crop for 4k with no Dual Pixel AF, inferior focusing systems
    • It just isn't as reliable as focusing through the viewfinder
    • Very fast and continuous focusing .. helped me to take pictures of my little one she kept moving
    • and I have never encountered focusing issues like this.
    • But being able to just press the shutter half way and have sharp focus rendered almost immediately even in low light situations is a DREAM
    • I find my self missing it when I switch to the 7D Mark II.- Focus speed is fast, but to be honest the 7D Mark II focus seems just as fast.- Area focus zones, zone switch button, and general design carried over from the 7D Mark II - awesome!- Focus point lights up in red.- Exposure meter in manual mode at the bottom of the view finder, where it should be
    • Focus is also faster
    • However there will still be things like spot AF missing, because only Canon has that (reduced focus point size for pinpointing critical focus, which is very helpful in certain situations).-I'm not going to talk about video because I did not buy this camera for video
    • - outdated codec (MJPEG with huge file size) and only 8 bit, although 4:2:2- no focus peaking !!!- no tilt or articulated screen (that prevent users to make professional videos, and makes the whole thing pretty much limited like my first work was with this camera at the National Gallery)
