I have upgraded my 550D with this new camera because it has the flexible LCD screen that allows me to better use the HD video filming feature
-
Needless to say, minus the film, the LCD is crystal clear and the colors are great
-
Top LCD screen(+
-
I dont like not having a wheel selector on the back, and find myself using the top LCD panel quite often.
-
The top LCD screen is also a great addition that makes a big difference for stills
-
What I like most is the articulating LCD screen which I use frequently when shooting in Live View mode
-
The top LCD screen is handy for a quick look at camera settings
-
The articulated LCD screen is extremely helpful when getting shots that don't allow you to compose through the view finder
-
If you feel that the flexible LCD is valuable for you, this camera is a better choice than the 7D (and cheaper)
-
I was a little worried about the design of the adjustable LCD since I am in a remote location and could not physically look at this camera anywhere before the
-
the top LCD was cluttered, I disliked the 8-way controller, and CF cards were a pain
-
The main things I have to have in a camera (which this one had) are:- Great IQ- Articulating LCD- Viewfinder (hate taking photos looking at a screen.)A lot of cameras out there don't have an articulating LCD for whatever reason, well i know a lot of manufacturers like to keep the size of the camera
-
Notably because more of the customizable settings are far more accessible with the top-mount LCD and controls.
-
Granted, one can press the Info button to bring up the main screen, but then whats the purpose of the top lcd screen then?Despite its shortcomings, I am starting to really like this camera
-
the top lcd is very nice. as well as having dedicated buttons for the iso, drive, etc
-
Not only does the camera body have the necessary articulating LCD screen, it allows me as much control as I choose...from full auto to standard settings, to the zone where I live...aperature-priority and shutter-priority.
-
Articulated LCD great for high / low shots when you have a bad back
-
Top LCD is very handy and I like the nice shortcut to light it up in dark.5
-
The touch screen is just a fancy addition, not that great, the external LCD of the 60D is way more useful.
-
The live view focusing speed is so slow and it's almost useless to have the articulating LCD when shooting in weird angles.
-
The LCD on top is very helpful and the LCD viewer screen is handy for long exposures, even the 2 dials (the main and .. well the other) provide a better control and speed
-
The articulating LCD is a huge plus in my book
-
It has a rear dial and top LCD settings display screen that make changing settings on the go incredibly easy and quick
-
It has an articulating LCD screen, like the T3i (a real plus for video work), but it lacks the touch functionality of the
-
One of my most important needs is an articulated LCD.
-
Why does it take this many years to get a camera with an articulated LCD?
-
Another thought is that I wished the top lcd screen showed what PASM mode I'm in, as I often found myself struggling to see the setting of my mode dial in the dark
-
The top LCD isn't terribly useful, especially if you mount an

-
but it just annoys me the after only 2 days the LCD is fully scratched
-
, Bursting is more than adequate, the articulating LCD is very handy, and of course this model accepts a wide range of Canon or quality aftermarket Lenses.
-
My only complaint about this camera is that LCD is not very color-accurate, i.e. tends to oversaturate reds, but this is perceivable only is specific indoor situations
-
The body feels so much better in the hands and the top LCD is a great plus
-
The articulating LCD screen is a valuable asset as it allows you to a) see the screen from a variety of angles and b) protect it when you are not using it.
-
The articulating LCD display is smooth and closes tightly
-
I like the articulating LCD
-
Since I plan on using the hd movie mode extensively, the articulating lcd screen (you don't know how great this option is until you actually use it!) was a huge selling point.
-
Excelent image quality, fast, quiet, accurate, very good in low light and nice lcd display
-
Needless to say, minus the film, the LCD is crystal clear and the colors are great
-
There is also an electronic level, visible in the viewfinder, rear LCD, or top LCD.-Viewfinder:
-
The top lcd screen is also great for quick access for basic information, plus it saves battery life and it looks pro
-
When I first bought the camera, I did not see that the articulating LCD panel would be of much use
-
I cannot begin to tell you the value of an articulating digital LCD screen that allows you to capture an eye level image of a blossom without the need to sit on the ground to do so.
-
With the 60D, you get the large dial on the back of the camera for rotating through images and selections and you also get the top LCD
-
Some camera angles get difficult because without a position adjustable LCD, the operator has to be behind the camera often with eye "glued" to an LCD viewfinder.
-
The AGC disable and manual audio level control in the 60D allows some projects to be accomplished without using external audio recorders although there is still not a way to "monitor" audio from the camera with headphones (one workaround for this will be to do a "test" scene on location and plug the media card into a laptop computer, checking both video and audio that way).Another appreciated feature is the articulating LCD.
-
Rotatable LCD makes it really easy
-
Also, the LCD screen is protected when stored with the screen facing the camera--no more scratched LCD screens.
-
IS with the articulating LCD screen.
