I took a digital photography class where I was able to rent a similar model for projects, so I was already familiar with the functionality of the camera, but for anyone who is just looking to buy a "nice camera," you should be aware that in order to get the better quality pictures you're looking for, you will have to do some work to learn how to use this type of camera because it is not the same as a simple point & shoot
