Came on time with a perfect travel case and the camera worked great right from the start.

I also went with the Case Logic DCB-302 Compact

so I would highly recommend a good protective case.

If you use a soft carrying case, if you happen to squeeze the case and touch one of the buttons, the camera will power on, and again the battery will run down

And all directions are in Japanese in the instruction manual as well as on the phone.
