If you go indoors even with normal lighting, the shot will be noisy.

if you like shooting for long distance items (like wildlife, etc) and the camera is compact and easy to use

The G7X Mk II would probably take a decent landscape shot but that means a tripod to keep the ISO down. .

I will also attach a macro shot as well

All are great little point-and-shoots, but I've found I never have a use for them.

but I wanted an articulating viewscreen for an upcoming trip because I take a lot of garden photography and with an articulating viewscreen you get a lot more flexibility in framing a shot -- unfortunately the pictures are so poor I can't use them for anything.

When you change the setting in one mode, it changes it in all the modes so you can't have different setting in different modes allowing for easy shooting, as with other cameras
