Casio Privia PX160BK 88-Key Full Size Digital Piano

    • Honestly I would have preferred the traditional smooth keys of a digital keyboard than a fake option that only gets 80% of the way to the real thing.
    • Layering (4/5): A feature of the piano is the ability to layer two voices (essentially hear both selected voices each time you strike a key).
    • The sound is fabulous, and our son is enjoying playing on the full range of keys available to him
    • The white keys were as smooth as a low end keyboard and didn't feel anywhere near as comfortable as genuine Piano keys.
    • We bought this for our 6-year-old son who has just begun taking piano lessons, but my husband also plays the piano and really enjoys the natural weighting of the keys along with the volume being proportional to the velocity with which the keys are struck
    • On an acoustic piano, the left keys are heavier than the right keys
    • Pros:- 88 keys
    • The only hing that I don't like about this keyboard is how noisy the keys are after being struck (bouncing).
    • We are not able to fit a full piano into our smaller home, and his piano instructor requested he upgrade to a keyboard with the pressure-sensitive keys so that he could improve his playing
    • The keys are very touch sensitive
