Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Playstation 3

    • Most frustratingly, if an enemy jumps up and hits the ground (a lot do this), you better jump in the air like an idiot because the vibrations in the ground when he lands will hurt you and knock you off your feet, which is the most lazy, annoying enemy maneuver in a game I've played in a long time.
    • Even with all the combos unlocked, I found the best way to kill mini bosses and small creatures is by spamming light and heavy attacks while using the roll ability to evade enemies.
    • I will admit that there ARE similarities, but the way the similarities are implemented just keeps the game feeling fresh: in GoW, you will fight multitudes of enemies at once, or a reduced number of stronger enemies at the same time, and depend a lot on dodging out of the way, and blocking in time, and absolutely brutal chain combos
    • Repetitive enemies are the only drawback that causes the game to get a little tedious at times.
    • Throughout the classics of Castlevania gaming controls, you certainly can do many actions that made a groundbreaker in the series, like holding on to your enemy by the neck, or when they are stunned and such, you can create combinations to destroy your enemy
    • Like Devil May Cry, however, the enemies are actually pretty smart, and don't hesitate to block and dodge, so if you don't fight intelligently, and learn the different combos, you will die
    • Like Devil May Cry, however, the enemies are actually pretty smart, and don't hesitate to block and dodge, so if you don't fight intelligently, and learn the different combos, you will die
    • The use of light and shadow magic to harm certain enemies makes for a better challenge
    • The yellow 'recharge' orbs appear only when you attack enemies and the focus meter is full)
    • You have two rage modes that can be used at any time and are replenished by killing multiple enemies in a row without being hit
    • Speaking of combos, you will need to learn some of them because while some of the weaker enemies can easily be taken down by just mashing buttons some of the stronger and smarter foes require strategic attacks and defensive maneuvers to advance or you will find yourself dying often (i.e. Greater Lycans)
    • This made long combinations almost useless unless the enemy was dazed since they would need to be broken midway through
    • Almost all enemies are extremely fun to fight, require different strategies and are interesting to read about.+Extras include a TON of artwork broken down into each
    • Last time I enjoyed punishing enemies was in Devil May Cry games
    • Main Complaint:You will die frequently in the game since you have to find hidden passages or ledges (I frequently died when I fell off ledges exploring the levels) or enemies that are attacking out of the camera's vision
    • The enemies are definitely awesome, and very unique, like every other enemy, of course some are annoying to beat, but when you get the hang of it, you will just look at the enemies as another fun ride throughout the game.
    • Most of the characters are pretty generic and look like they could be from any generic medieval themed game, nothing about anyone really stands out; there's not enough enemy variation for a game of this length either.
    • The camera is your worst enemy.
    • Most often when a combo is started the enemy will throw an attack at you which must either be dodged or blocked depending on the strength of the attack
    • Once you weaken huge enemies such as big warewolves, spiders etc, YOU CAN RIDE THEM
    • it's Devil May Cry!What started off as a platform game where you explore endless rooms in a spooky castle in your search for Dracula has turned into a 3D action game with lots of combos, skills and relentless enemies, and the resemblance to the Devil May Cry series is startling

    • It's a hack n' slash and there will always be the 'light' attack button, the 'heavy' attack button and a grab and jump
